Bro. John Richardson receives Masonic Scouter Award

Brother John Richardson receives the Daniel Carter Beard Masonic Scouter Award. The award recognizes Masons who share their Masonic principles with young people by participating actively in the Scouting program. The program requires a brother to be nominated by his peers in recognition of his work – the awardee cannot apply for it himself.

The Masonic Scouter Award program was developed by the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania and is approved by the Boy Scouts of America for ALL Grand Lodges and administered nationally by the Pennsylvania Masonic Youth Foundation.

Brother John Richardson, as an awardee, may wear the Daniel Carter Beard Masonic Scouter Award medallion at Masonic functions.

Brother Velasquez is moving in Nashville and is employed by AHNR, a website servicing Military personnel who may be seeking housing in their new assignment. Joseph Warren-Gothic Lodge #934 is a hundred-year-old Lodge in New York City and is an amalgamation of eleven lodges over the years.

Observance Lodge Hosts Dinner for Brothers of Perfection Lodge #1

Observance Lodge #686 hosted the members of Brothers of Perfection Lodge #1 at the Lodge’s Weekly Fellowship Dinner. After the dinner, Observance Lodge’s Brothers conducted a tour of the Grand Lodge of Tennessee building for our guests.

Honorable Dan H. Jones, 33° Grand Cross. Secretary of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry for the Valley of Nashville, Orient of Tennessee, Southern Jurisdiction graciously led and provided the guided tour.

Grand Lodge of Tennessee Right Worshipful Grand Senior Warden Robert Warren Waldron, Sr. (Sam Davis Lodge #661) and Brother Harold Scott (Sam Davis Lodge #661) install Brother Zachary Brian Nibert as the Worshipful Master for 2020 along with his Officers for the Observance Lodge #686.

John Koch Receives the 2019 Master Mason of the Year Award

Worshipful Master Steve Martin honors Brother John Koch with the Master Mason of the Year Award for 2019. WMB Steve Martin stated during the announcement “Brother John is an exemplary Mason; he is always the first and the last to leave the Lodge. He does everything – Ritual Work, Preparing the food for the fellowship dinners, Cooking, Cleaning afterwards.” Brother John Koch is a Senior Lecturer and Director of Debate at Vanderbilt University.

Observance Lodge’s James R. Morrison, Jr., PM donates his framed photos when he served as the Supreme Tall Cedar of the Tall Cedars of Lebanon of North America. The photos are now displayed in the Lodge’s Display Case.

Tall Cedars of Lebanon of North America is an appendant Masonic organization devoted to fostering friendship and fellowship among Freemasons and to all mankind.

With over 10,000 members, they have an unyielding commitment to provide a “place in the sun” for those many thousands of victims of neuromuscular diseases who, through their own means, may not be able to share and enjoy the experiences of life that we so often are able to take for granted.
